1. Acceptance
You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to enter a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it to these Terms.
2. The service
Content Mill lets you connect social media accounts (currently X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Bluesky), write posts, publish them immediately or schedule them, and see the result on each platform. You can also connect an AI assistant that does some of this for you (section 7).
We may add, change or remove features, including supported platforms. The Service depends on third parties, so some things are outside our control (section 9).
3. Accounts
You need an account to use the Service. Give us accurate information and keep your password, and any AI assistant you connect, secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
4. Plans, credits and trials
- Credits. Publishing costs credits: 10 credits for each platform a post is sent to, and 95 credits for a post containing a link on X. Drafts, previews and read-only lookups don’t cost credits. If a platform fails to publish a post, the credits for that platform are returned to your balance automatically.
- Plans. Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance and a limit on connected accounts. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing section and in the app. Your balance is reset to your plan’s allowance at each renewal; unused credits don’t carry over.
- Free trial. A first subscription starts with a 10-day free trial, once per account, with the plan’s full credits. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription continues as a paid plan.
- Changes. We may change prices, allowances or credit costs for future periods. A change does not affect a period you have already paid for.
5. Payments and cancellation
Payments are processed by our payment processor, Polar. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges for your plan until you cancel. You can cancel in the app under Settings, then Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then.
Fees already paid are not refundable except where the law requires it or where we say otherwise. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will look into it.
6. Acceptable use
You are responsible for everything you publish. You agree not to use the Service to:
- post content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive or harassing, or that you don’t have the right to post;
- send spam, or automate posting in a way that breaks a platform’s own rules, including its limits on automated posting;
- get around credits, limits or security, or interfere with or overload the Service;
- access another person’s account or data.
A platform can restrict or remove your account because of what you post. That is between you and the platform.
7. AI assistants
You can connect an AI assistant, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code or Codex, by signing in and approving access on a consent screen. Within what the Service allows, a connected assistant can read your connected accounts, credit balance and posts, save, edit and delete drafts, cancel scheduled posts, upload media, and publish posts.
Publishing takes two steps. The assistant first prepares a preview, and only that exact preview can then be published, once. However, it is the assistant, not you directly, that tells Content Mill a preview is approved. Content Mill cannot verify that you personally approved a given post. You are responsible for what an assistant you connect does with your account, including anything it publishes and the credits it uses, so connect only assistants you trust.
We keep a record of the calls an assistant makes. There is currently no self-service way to disconnect an assistant: to cut one off, email [email protected] and we will revoke its access. The assistant itself is a third-party service with its own terms and privacy practices.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the posts, media and other material you submit (“Your Content”). You give us a limited license to store, process, transmit and display it as needed to run the Service, including sending it to the platforms you choose.
Media you upload is stored at a public web address so that social platforms can fetch it. Anyone who has the link can view it, so don’t upload anything you wouldn’t want reachable by link.
You confirm that you have the rights to Your Content and that publishing it doesn’t break the law or anyone’s rights.
9. Third-party services
The Service works through third parties: the social platforms you connect, the publishing service that connects to them on our behalf, our payment processor, our hosting and storage providers, Google if you sign in with it, and any AI assistant you connect. They have their own terms. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them.
Platforms can change their rules or interfaces, reject a post, limit your account, or have outages, and a post may fail or be delayed as a result. We don’t guarantee that a post will be published, will be published at an exact time, or will be seen by anyone.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete your account in Settings. Deleting it deactivates your account and signs you out; our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we need to in order to protect the Service or other people, or if the law requires it.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top and, where we reasonably can, tell you in the app or by email. Using the Service after a change means you accept it.
